GameOn! reminds you before the teams and athletes you follow play, across nine sports. Here is how it works, and how to fix the usual snags.

Getting started

• Sign in with your Google account.
• Pick the clubs, national teams or athletes you want to follow. Nine sports are covered: football, basketball, tennis, MMA, rugby, baseball, ice hockey, American football and esports.
• Your next matches land on the home feed, and a reminder fires before each one. A free account follows one team.

Reminders and notifications

• A reminder fires before kickoff, on the timing you choose, from 5 minutes to 2 hours ahead.
• Free: one reminder, 15 minutes before, on a single team.
• Plus: several timings at once, and as many teams as you want.
• Allow notifications for GameOn! when the app first asks. You can change that later in your phone settings.

Not getting your reminders?

Nine times out of ten a system setting is blocking them. Check, in order:

• Notifications are turned on for GameOn! in your phone's app settings.
• Battery optimization is not shutting the app down in the background. Set GameOn! to unrestricted battery usage.
• Data Saver is not cutting background data for GameOn!.
• You are signed in, and the team you are waiting on actually plays in the next few days.

Still nothing? Sign out and back in to force a refresh, or reinstall the app. If it keeps happening, email us.

GameOn! Plus

Plus removes the free limits and adds:

• Unlimited teams and athletes.
• Custom reminder timings.
• Home screen widgets.
• Two extra themes.
• No ads.

Manage or cancel anytime from the Google Play Store → Payments & subscriptions → Subscriptions. Cancelling keeps Plus running until the end of the period you already paid for. Changed phone or reinstalled? Open Settings → Restore purchases.

Following and managing teams

Add or remove teams and athletes anytime from the app. On a free account you keep one. If you followed several on Plus and your subscription ends, GameOn! does not delete them: one stays active and you pick which. The rest come back the moment you resubscribe.

Home screen widgets

Add a GameOn! widget from your home screen like any other. One shows your next match, the other a big countdown to kickoff. Widgets are part of GameOn! Plus.

Languages and themes

GameOn! speaks 33 languages. Switch in Settings → Language. Pick a look in Settings → Appearance; some themes are part of Plus.

Your account and data

GameOn! uses your Google sign-in and stores only what it needs to send your reminders. To erase your account and everything tied to it, see Delete your account. The full picture is in our Privacy Policy.
