Privacy Policy
Last updated: 26 June 2026
This policy explains what personal data GameOn! collects, why, and the rights you have over it. GameOn! is a multi-sport match-reminder app published by Muji Lab.
The short version
We collect the minimum needed to run the app: your account, your followed teams, and your reminder settings. The free version shows ads through Google AdMob; in regions that require it (such as the EEA and the UK) we ask for your consent first, and GameOn! Plus removes ads entirely. We never sell your personal data for money. You can delete your account, and all the data tied to it, at any time from inside the app.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Muji Lab (sole proprietorship, France), the publisher of GameOn!. For any privacy question or request, contact us at [email protected].
2. What we collect, why, and on what legal basis
- Account details (email address, and the name and identifier from your Google account when you sign in with Google). Purpose: create and secure your account and sign you in. Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.
- Device notification token and basic device information (a Firebase Cloud Messaging token). Purpose: deliver the match reminders you ask for. Legal basis: performance of our contract. You can turn notifications off at any time in your device or app settings.
- Your preferences (the teams and athletes you follow, reminder timings, language and theme). Purpose: provide your personalized feed and reminders. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
- Subscription status (whether you are on the free plan or GameOn! Plus, handled through RevenueCat and the app stores). Purpose: manage your subscription and unlock Plus features. Legal basis: performance of our contract.
- Technical and diagnostic data (crash and error logs, and network metadata from our security proxy). Purpose: keep the app stable, secure and working. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in operating a reliable, secure service.
- Advertising data (free plan only). To show ads in the free version, Google AdMob may access an advertising identifier and limited device and usage information. In the EEA, the UK and other regions that require it, we ask for your consent through a consent form before any ad is requested, and you can change your choice at any time; GameOn! Plus removes all ads. Legal basis: your consent where required, otherwise our legitimate interest in funding a free version of the app.
We do not run a separate analytics SDK, we do not build our own advertising profiles, and we do not make automated decisions that produce legal effects about you.
3. Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted service providers (processors) strictly to run the app:
- Google (Firebase Authentication and Firebase Cloud Messaging): sign-in and push notifications.
- RevenueCat: subscription management for GameOn! Plus.
- Google AdMob: advertising in the free version of the app (not used for GameOn! Plus subscribers).
- Sentry: crash and error monitoring (EU region).
- Cloudflare: security proxy and protection against abuse.
- Hetzner (Germany) and Turso: hosting and database.
We do not sell your personal data for money. Apart from the advertising described in section 2 (free version only), we do not disclose your personal data to third parties for their own marketing.
4. Where your data is processed
Our servers and database are hosted in the European Union (Germany), and our error monitoring runs in the EU region. Some of our providers (such as Google, RevenueCat and Cloudflare) may process limited data outside the European Economic Area. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account (from inside the app, or by contacting us), your account and the personal data attached to it are deleted. Technical and diagnostic logs are kept only for a limited period and then removed.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or erased, to restrict or object to its processing, and to data portability. Where processing is based on consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To exercise these rights, delete your account in the app or email [email protected].
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. In France, this is the CNIL (cnil.fr).
7. California privacy rights
If you are a California resident, you have the right to know what personal information we collect and why, to request its deletion or correction, and not to be discriminated against for exercising your rights. The categories we collect are described in section 2 (identifiers, contact details, purchase status, technical data, and, in the free version, an advertising identifier), used only to operate the app.
We do not sell your personal information for money. In the free version, our advertising through Google AdMob may involve sharing an advertising identifier for cross-context behavioral advertising as defined by California law. You can limit this through your device's ad settings, through the in-app consent options where shown, or by subscribing to GameOn! Plus, which removes ads entirely.
8. Children
GameOn! is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Security
We use industry-standard measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections and access controls. No method of transmission or storage is ever completely secure, but we work to keep your data safe.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will change the "last updated" date above and, for significant changes, let you know in the app.
